📚 Clase de la Semana: Verbos Reflexivos

Reflexive verbs, or verbos reflexivos, are a fundamental part of Spanish grammar. These verbs are used when the subject and object of the action are the same person. For example, in the sentence "Me lavo las manos" (I wash my hands), the action of washing is performed and received by the same person.

Key Points to Remember:

  1. Reflexive verbs are accompanied by reflexive pronouns (me, te, se, nos, os, se).

  2. These pronouns agree with the subject in both number and person.

  3. Reflexive verbs often describe daily routines and personal care actions, such as levantarse (to get up), ducharse (to shower), and vestirse (to get dressed).

Examples:

  • Me despierto a las seis. (I wake up at six.)

  • Me preparo el desayuno a las 8 am. (I prepare breakfast for myself at 8 am.)

  • Mi hijo se duerme temprano. (My son goes to sleep early.

In our latest Instagram Reel, I go over my daily routine using just reflexive verbs. Check it out below:
