Clase de la Semana (Class of the Week): Verbos + Preposiciones

Verbs often require specific prepositions to make sense in Spanish. Here’s a quick guide:

• Verbos + "A": Ir a, dedicarse a, aprender a, comenzar a
  Examples:

  • Ir: Los domingos voy a la iglesia.

  • Dedicarse: En mi trabajo, me dedico a enseñar Español.

  • Aprender: Mis estudiantes aprenden a hablar Español.

  • Comenzar: ¿Cuándo comienzas a estudiar Español con nosotros?

• Verbos + "DE": Acordarse de, dejar de, tratar de, reírse de
  Examples:

  • Acordarse: ¿Te acuerdas de mí?

  • Dejar: Hace mucho tiempo dejé de beber café en las tardes.

  • Tratar: Trato de hacer ejercicio todos los días.

  • Reírse: Siempre me río de las bromas de mi hijo.

• Verbos + "CON": Soñar con, Casarse con, Contar con
  Examples:

  • Soñar: Sueño con viajar a España

  • Casarse: Carlos se casó con Laura.

  • Contar: Siempre cuento con tu apoyo

• Verbos + "EN": Pensar en, Convertirse en, Confiar en
  Examples:

  • Pensar: Pienso en el futuro con optimismo.

  • Convertirse: Él se convirtió en un experto en Marketing.

  • Confiar: Confío en que todo saldrá bien
